So if you're into Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and other female divas....you'll most definitely love Joy Enriques too! Her voice is uniquely beautiful, she's way way better than J.Lo.

JOI HAS A GREAT VOICE, SHE MAKES J.LO SOUND REALLY BAD. THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT JOY CAN SING AND HAS RANGE, J.LO DOESNT REALLY HAVE A WIDE RANGE WHEN IT COMES TO SINGING, I JUST BROUGHT THIS ALBUM BY JOY ERNIQUEZ, IT'S A SHAME ISNT IT,THE ALBUM IS 3 YEARS OLD AND IM JUST GETTING IT.BUT NEVERTHELESS I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT THE ALBUM IS GREAT. MY FAVORITE SONGS ARE: #'S 1,2,4,7 AND 11. BUT HONESTLY I LISTEN TO THE WHOLE ALBUM EVERYTIME I PLAY IT, AND IT GETS BETTER AND BETTER.

While Joy may only have one song that most people have heard, that does NOT necessarily make her a one hit wonder! Secondly, I hope that nobody says Joy can't sing, because this girl has a strong, sugary yet sassy voice! As for the songs themselves, the best song may be the very first song, "What Do You Want?". This sassy song is about how a guy wants more from Joy than she can give him, and she tells him, "What do you want from me? Everytime I see you you're asking me asking me to give you more of me, can't you see I'm giving you everything?" I also think the part where she talks about taking a vacation because she can't deal with that guy anymore is simply amazing! Song number two, "Tell Me How You Feel", has a great beat at the beginning, making it easy to get into. However, this is a slower song about how Joy likes this boy and wants him to tell her if he likes her too. Song number three, "I Can't Believe", is about true love and falling in love with a great guy. Number four, "Situation", is even slower than "Tell Me How You Feel". This song is about how a boy already has a girlfriend but prefers Joy over her, and Joy feels bad about it. Song number five, "Shake Up the Party", is one of the most peppiest songs on this CD. This song is about Joy and her boyfriend and mentions something about having a party. I recommend everybody hearing this song. Song number six, "Without You", is a ballad style song about how a guy "took the pain away, and you know that I'd do anything for you," This song is just way too cliched to actually like the words, but I love how beautiful Joy's voice sounds. Song number seven, "I Don't Want You", is a very sassy song with very sassy lyrics, such as, "It's not about you, I don't need to have my life revolve around you!" This song is apparently about a guy who assumes that he can control Joy without her being bothered by it, but he's wrong. Song number eight, "Someday", is about how Joy hopes that someday the guy she likes will come to her. This is another ballad with extremely boring lyrics, but is good because of Joy's voice. Song number nine, "Just When I Needed You", seems so boring that I'm not going to waste my time on it. Song number ten, "Between You and Me", is about how Joy isn't impressed with her boyfriend because he makes her wait around. This is another peppy song, with a slower part near the middle of it. Song number eleven, "Uh Oh", is a peppy song about falling in love after swearing it off. At first I wasn't impressed with this song, but now it's a fave, and I highly recommend it. Song number twelve, "Losing the Love", is another extremely slow ballad about how Joy didn't believe in true love until her boyfriend left her and she started to miss him and his love. The lyrics are okay, but the song is just too slow. And the last song, number thirteen, "With This Love", is about how Joy promising her love to her boyfriend. This is such a beautiful song, and Joy's voice is amazing here! In some of these songs, Joy uses too many worn out cliches, which is why she didn't get the five stars she otherwise so richly deserves. Except for the cliches in some otherwise beautiful/amazing songs, this CD could be up there as one of 2001's best release.

When will she put out another CD, and will it get promoted or even noticed?

Joy's album isn't out for a couple months, but I'm planning on getting it. Perfect for dancing and a great tune. The snippets are listenable, but I hate how the are laid out!

I love this song. There are very few songs that have this amount of energy and power in them. She has the ability to make every listener dance and feel powerful. I FEEL GREAT AFTER LISTENING TO THIS SINGLE!.......2000-12-25

This is a great single! However the begining beats of this song sound similar to that of "ROBBIE WILLIAMS" song "ROCK DJ". But its all good, the song is precisely 4:07 minutes long which is pretty lenghty. She has a good voice but it is very simple yet not to much like that of Christina Aguilera. This song is about a torn person wanting someone they are in love with, and they think they have a crush on them to so she's asking "TELL ME HOW YOU FEEL". Joy, is a new talented artist, start being a fan with this single, because it is always nice to see your favorite singer get big. This song is up-tempo or maybe mid-tempo but definately in between. Go buy this single and let it bring "JOY" to your life and help you express how you feel!

This tune is catchy, has a great beat that'll make you want to boogie oogie or at the least makes your head bounce. I give it 4 stars and look for more out of lovely Joy Enriquez and the full CD, I'm not much for buying singles.

this is a great cd! all ya'll gotta go out and get this! she fills in the puzzle with her young and talented voice.she sets her own tone in the industry. sets a new mark in r&b and in pop.

Great CD.......2002-03-01

There's nothing in this CD that will change the music industry as we know it, but this is nonetheless very good and listenable. Joy Enriquez has nothing to be ashamed about in her debut album; there are some standout songs here.

Every pop album by a young female with a big voice has several fairly standard tracks, and there are a couple here which are uninspiring, but the good songs are a big, big plus. Highlight tracks for me are Joy's ballads where her voice gets a chance to shine - "Just When I Needed You", "Losin' The Love" and "With This Love" are three great songs that wouldn't be out of place on any chick flick (that's not a criticism!), and the big single here in Australia, "Tell me how you feel", was deservedly popular.

The Latino/ dance feel of "Shake up the Party" is really well done - the remixes on that single are also excellent, and I think the Latin influence is something that Joy could exploit a little further - granted, it's been done by many others, and at times Joy sounds like a junior Jennifer Lopez (with a far better range and vocal quality), but it is a good track.

Finally, the highlight of this import album is the bonus track ('bonus'? The US album has tracks this one doesn't, which is disappointing for us!): "How Can I Not Love You" from the film "Anna and the King". Fantastic, beautiful, emotional track and probably the best part of a disappointing movie.

Joy has a warmth and rich quality to her voice some of the other young divas do not; but more importantly her warmth and sincerity as a person shine through in whatever she does, and that makes a welcome change from the posturings of the Britneys of the world. I wish her every success. Excellent album.

She's A Joy To The World!.......2001-08-25

Joy Enriquez is one of the most talented R&B singers in the music industry, in my opinion. Her voice is so beautiful and exceptional. Her songs are terrific. The way she sings is wonderful. I could keep on praising her all day but it would take too much space. Her debut album is amazing. End.

Finally a Singer who takes the time to mesmerizingly sing with passion, Joy's voice is one of the sweetest I heard in a long time, she lets her voice flow melodicly throughout the this cd, when other female artists choose to scream, she simply lifts her voice up a notch or two without losing the feeling, Joy, I'll "Tell You How I Feel" honestly "I Can't Believe" it took so long, but I knew that "Someday" you would come along, change the "Situation" & come "Shake Up The Party" I mean, "How Can I Not Love You" or this cd?? do yourself a favor treat yourself to some great music! it's a perfect blend of funky R&B tracks like "Tell Me How You Feel" & smooth as silk ballads like "How Can I Not Love You" It's amazing how music can lift your spirits when your feeling down. Pick up your copy today!
