once again Daddy Yankee has demonstrated that he dominates the reggaeton scene. I'm almost sure that Gasolina 2 is one of the tracks on his new c.d. El Cartel. I'm confident that like Barrio Fino, this new album will be a smash hit. Daddy Yankee is definitely "El Rey Del Reggaeton"

This is the worst song ever. I am not only saying this because I HATE REGGAETON but because this is the MOST ANNOYIN, STUPID, DUMBEST SONG EVERRRRRR! AND THE VIDEO WAS WORST BECAUSE NON OF THOSE GILRS COULD DANCE TO SAVE THEIR OWN LIVES!

And the worst song ever is..........2005-12-13

...GASOLINA! Oh my god. Daddy Yankee must be on drugs! I can't believe such an artist would look into recording a song that makes the artist worse than he already sounds. Sorry, fanboys, but this lifeless junk is not music! If you want good music, listen to Pink Floyd. Everytime I hear this song is like a sledgehammer to the groin. Enjoy!

Reggaeton began just over a decade ago when a new kind of dance music started to percolate through clubs and parties in Puerto Rico. Its beat was grounded in Jamaican Dancehall Reggae. Very good, if a tad bit over-produced.......2002-08-21

This is a good Five-Eight album, just not their best. With this album the band had signed to a major label and adopted a different sound; consequently this was the last album with longtime drummer Tigger Ferguson who was replaced by Mike Rizzi.

Overall some very solid tracks here and I would not hesitate to recommend to any fan of the band.

Five-Eight is worth looking for.......1999-03-24

I've been a fan of Five-Eight for a couple of years now and if you've never heard of them, I suggest that you look for any of their cd's. I first encountered this album under the title "The Angriest Man". The album is fairly short, straight-forward and to the point, however it never feels rushed. The music and lryics are haunting, even violently more so on "Depressed All The Time". This album and the band's "Weirdo" should be manditory listening for any true music fan.

Maybe 4 1/2 stars is closer, but this is still good stuff........1998-09-12

With intense music and enigmatic lyrics that are at times incredibly sensitive, these guys should go far. I look forward to their next release.

If there is any justice in the world, this band will someday become HUGE. Mantione is the kind of guy who performs like his life depends on it. (I hear that during a show at the 40-watt, he tripped backwards over an amp in mid-solo, fell on his butt, jumped back over the amp to the front of the stage again, and never stopped rocking.)
