A musical treasure from Spain's most talented female singer. Serrat's "Mediterráneo" is close to perfect in her voice. Greek rhythms of joyful "Me enamoró, me enamoró" combine beautifully with Maestro Rodrigo's masterpiece "En Aranjuez". Inspired "Oceano" is sheer sensuality . Other Med classics (Dos cruces/Yo te diré) add up to this great collection of songs, and her fabulous version of eternal "Hymne a l'amour" outshines that of La Piaf. Unmissably Mediterranean, this CD is a must-have.

Classically Spanish beautifully crafted CD........2003-03-02

For any fans of Spanish music, the guitar tracks are beautiful, There was no bad tracks, but my favorites are in no particular order: "Me Enamoro, Me Enamoro"(in this track the mandolin is used to beautiful effect like a Spanish estudiantina piece), the slow and earthy "Oceano" showcases a beatiful bel canto by Paloma, "Si tu Quieres", "Dos Cruces" and "No Me Pidas Mas". This album is a secret gem, I hope my review awakes interest in this album which I rank tops in my opinion. Soulful, less commercial and very traditional Spanish music.
