I was driving in the car and heard a song off this cd and knew right away I had to have it! I have listened to it three times already and I can't seem to get enough. Cunliffe integrated a lively latin beat with soulful jazz and created a masterpiece. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a meaningful musical experience!

O Grupo Niche tornou-se o meu predileto rapidamente. E não é à toa, pois esse grupo colombiano vem se superando a cada álbum, e não há um trabalho deles em que a alta qualidade não esteja presente. O maestro Jairo Varela e seus ótimos músicos fazem do Niche o melhor grupo de salsa!
Em "Imaginación" há 8 músicas de primeira. Com novo cantor: Oswaldo Roman.
Todo o álbum é sensacional, mas vou arriscar uns destaques:
"Culebra", "Ni como amiga ni como amante", "La biselada", "Vamos a ver".

      This is not just great, its incredible music if you can find it. I own the 1987 Redwoood Records version I obtained at a local record store a decade ago and it contains 14 of the 16 songs listed here. At the time, I had never heard Inti-Illimani until I heard this disc playing when I walked into that store. It was such exotically beautiful music, I inquired about it and the rest is history.
      To me, Imaginacion is not just evocative of the Andes but also is strangely evocative of what you might expect at a 19th century British country fair. Maybe that's just in my imagination only, but the music definitely has a pastoral, Arcadian sound about it.
      There are no favorite songs here, I like each one immensely. All are instrumental and it is the instrumental side of the band is the side that speaks to me best. And even after ten years, I still listen to it in my office on a fairly regular basis.
      If you can find this, by all means get it. It will be one of the best CDs of instrumental music you'll ever buy.
