Book Description
How do you generate an endless stream of profitable clients who dont ask, How much are your packages? Did you earn enough money during the year to pay your bills during the slow months? And how to get all your work done so you can spend time with your family and friends.
These are some of the challenges Mark D. Till, Cr. Photog. takes on in his new book, "The Lucrative Photographer: How To Become Indispensable To Your Clients, Maximize Your Profitability, And Regain Your Personal Life." (CB Press).
The Lucrative Photographer, is more than just an ordinary book on business and marketing as is evident by an early chapter entitled Mind, Body, and Spirit. In the chapter Till outlines practical steps designed to create a balance between the hectic daily work load with time for family, friends, and ones own self.
As the title suggests, one of the book themes is how to become indispensable to clients. Marks easy to understand writing style guides the reader through a variety of exercises and examples to help photographers distinguish themselves in the marketplace and create loyal clients who want to refer their friends and return to the studio year after year.
A unique feature of the book is a resource guide at the end of each chapter. Readers wishing to learn more about the topics discussed dont have to flip to the back of the book to find the bibliography, they are given the names, address, and phone numbers of the sources used at the end of each chapter, a very user friendly feature.
The Lucrative Photographer is a must read for anyone in the photography business, especially those who were drawn into photography as a hobby and then have made it their profession.
Customer Reviews:
Good focusing tool for professional photographers.......2001-10-18
This shorter book was an easy read focusing on how to make a living at photography as a business. It focus' on working smart from a former financial consultant and bank auditor. Mark does not get excessively technical, but maps out how to look at your business from a numbers perspective. The key number is how much goes into your pocket. A big advocate of lifetime value of a customer and Cost of Goods Sold. His biggest message, is work to live, not live to work, so work smart. A balanced life will lead to a more productive (and financially fulfilling life).
